MySpace Application Guidelines

All MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must comply with the Application Guidelines listed below as modified from time to time (the "Application Guidelines"). These Application Guidelines are intended to help you create applications that meet the high standards of quality and integrity expected by Users. These Application Guidelines are not exhaustive and are only examples of the applicable requirements and conditions for MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content. Capitalized terms used in these Application Guidelines but not defined shall have the meaning assigned to them in the Developer Addendum.

MySpace reserves the right to request modifications to, reject or delete any MySpace Applications or MySpace Application Content, at any time, at its sole discretion.

General Requirements and Restrictions
Accuracy of Information

MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must:

• comply with applicable laws, regulations, including FTC guidelines and policies, and must not otherwise be deceptive, misleading, or unfair;
• if containing free offers and discounts, disclose within the MySpace Application or MySpace Application Content all material terms and conditions relating to the free offer or special discount;
  not promote false or misleading claims;
• not constitute "bait and switch" advertising;
• not contain or imply inaccurate affiliation, including but not limited to: any affiliation with MySpace.com or any property held by FIM, for example "MySpace.com special offer," or "Special Offer from Tom".

Software Downloads & Site Security

MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must not:

• 플래쉬를 제외하고 자동으로 다운로드 되지 않아야 한다. include automatic downloads - except for Flash;
• 숨겨진/ 해를끼치는 기능이 없어야 한다. contain hidden or harmful functionality;
• 어플리케이션 기능을 위해 다운로드를 요구하지 않아야 한다. require a download for application functionality;
• AdWare/Spyware 같은 소프트웨어나 ActiveX controls 을 유발하는 구성요소가 없어야 한다.contain any hidden bundled components of a user approved download (software commonly considered or classified as AdWare/Spyware or trigger Active X controls).
• 광고도 software download, download command, dialog box 등을 포함하지 말아야 한다. In addition, Advertisements must not contain any software downloads or download command or dialog boxes. 

User Experience / Functionality

MySpace Applications must:

• 데이터를 MySpace로/로부터 보내거나 받을때 MySpace OpenSocial APIs 와/또는 MySpace RESTful APIs를 이용해야한다. use the MySpace OpenSocial APIs and/or the MySpace RESTful APIs to send and receive data to and from MySpace and to perform MySpace functions;
• Canvas, Home, Profile Surface 에 적절히 맞는 포멧을 사용한다. (과도한 여백, 어플리케이션의 부분이 잘려나가지 않도록) be properly formatted to fit the Canvas, Home, and Profile Surfaces (e.g., no excess empty space, no part of the application is cropped);
• 어플리케이션을 인스톨한 사용자나 인스톨하지 않은 사용자가 프로필페이지를 방문할때도 적절히 로드되어야 한다. properly load on all used Surfaces (e.g., the app must properly load when a user without the app visits a profile with the app as well as with users with the app installed);
• 적절한 카테고리를 설정한다. be properly categorized;
• 어플리케이션 프로파일, 갤러리, 어플리케이션 자체내에 정확한 app description과 적절한 icon, 필요하다면 app requirements(다른 사이트에 가입해야 한다던가 하는) 에대해 설명한다. have an accurate description on the application profile, gallery, and within the application itself, including appropriate icons and any app requirements (e.g., third party registration and membership to another website);
• age-verification API를 사용하여 제한된 컨텐츠에 대해 유저를 확인한다. Dating app 들은 18살 이상이어야 하며 술과 관련된 app는 21세 이상이어야 한다. age-verification API 가 제공되기 전까지 개발자들은 스스로 verification 을 적용하도록한다. confirm a user is of the correct age to view any restricted content, using the correct age-verification API (when available): dating applications must check for 18 and alcohol applications must check for 21.  Developers must implement their own verification until the age-verification API is released.
• 외부링크는 모두 새창에 띄우도록 한다.(Google Adwords등과 같이 어쩔수 없는경우 제외) open all external links in a new window excluding links out of the developers hands (e.g., Google AdWords)

MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must not:

• 번쩍이거나 굴러가거나 흔들리는등의 컨텐츠 사용하지말것 employ flashing, shaking, rolling, pulsing, etc.;
• Back 버튼 등과 같은 브라우저 기능을 막아서는 안된다. block or impede browser functionality from working as intended (e.g., "Back" button must work);
• 잘못된 경고/에러메세지, doalog box 등 사용금지 feature false system messaging, warning messages, dialog boxes or error messages;
• 잘못된 application, 시스템 업로드, 진단메세지등을 포함하지 말것. contain false application, system update, or diagnostic messaging;
• 잘못된 닫기, 최소화, 최대화 같은 윈도우 기능등을 사용하지 말것 contain false "Close", "Minimize", "Maximize", or other Windows functionality;
• 팝업, 팝언더, alert 사용금지 contain pop-ups, pop-unders, dialogue boxes (e.g., alerts);
• Open Social "nagivateTo" call 을 이용하지 않고 top 브라우저를 새로운 페이지로 이동하지 말것. navigate the top browser window to a new location, except by using the Open Social "navigateTo" call;
• ActiveX object 나 Xml, http, Flash, Windows Media Player를 제외한 embeds 를 사용하지 말것. contain or create ActiveX objects or embeds except Xml, Http, Flash, and Windows Media Player;
• MySpace.com 도메인내의 사이트로 post하는 form 을 사용하지 말것. contain or create forms that post to any site on the MySpace.com domain;
• Myspace username/password를 요구하지 말것. request a user's MySpace account username or password;
• 어플리케이션 사용료를 요구하지 말것. require payment to use the application;
• Install/uninstall 버튼기능을 바꾸거나 없애지 말것. alter or remove the install/uninstall button or a users capability to install/uninstall;
• "Report this app" 링크를 수정하거나 바꾸지 말것. alter, remove or hide the report this app link;
• MySpace 와 협력관계인척하지 말것. imply any type of association with MySpace (e.g., Tom's Movies apps or MySpace Jane's apps);  
• App Gallery에서 순위를 높이고자 app이름이나 description 을 조정하지 말것. adjust application name or description in order to increase placement within the app gallery;
• app name 에 특수문자를 사용하지 말것. contain special non alpha numeric characters in the app name, including, but not limited to !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *;
• 유저가 Install App 버튼을 누르지도 않았는데 자동으로 인스톨되게 하지 말것. self install or install automatically without the user clicking the Install App button;
• 다른 어플리케이션과 같은 요저의 프로파일 페이지의 컨텐츠를 방해하거나 영향을 미치지 말것.   interfere or otherwise interact with any of the content on the user's profile page, including other applications;
• MySpace 상단 배너나 풋터를 바꾸거나 가리지 말것. change or hide the MySpace top banner or bottom footer on any page;
• 유저에게 "니 페이지를 방문한사람" 과 관련된 정보를 제공하기 위해 유저 트랙킹 기능을 포함하지 말것. contain any type of user tracking or functionality to provide information regarding "who viewed your page" or related information to any user;
• 잘못된 링크를 포함하지 말것. contain broken links;
• 오타, 잘못된 문법을 사용하지 말것. have typos, misspellings, or grammatical mistakes (aside from standard Internet terminology).

In addition, any portion of your MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content that will appear on a MySpace Profile or Homepage must not:

• 서치박스를 포함해서는 안된다(구글서치를 제외한 서치기능은 캔버스 페이지에는 포함될수 있다.) contain any form of search box (search functionality is allowed on the Canvas except for Google Search);
• 외부소스(CSS, 광로를 포함하는 iframe된 컨텐츠)를 불러오는 script 태그를 포함해서는 안된다. (MySpace whitelist 나 Google Analytics에 사용된 잘알려진 library 제외) contain or create SCRIPT tags pointing to external sources (except for well-known libraries that are on the MySpace whitelist, or Google analytics); CSS, IFramed content
• 광고를 포함하지 말것. contain advertisements.

Also, any portion of your MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content that will appear on a MySpace Canvas must not:

• 포함하는 iframe이 JavaScript code, form post, 링크등을 통해 새로운 location으로 이동되도록 하지 말아야한다. cause their containing IFRAME to be navigated to new location, for example, by using JavaScript code, form posts, or containing links;

MySpace/FIM Logos and Titles

MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content may not use:

• 사전의 동의 없이 글이나 그래픽으로 MySpace 나 FIM 의 trademarks 나 로고를 사용할수 없다. trademarks or the corporate logo of MySpace or any FIM Property in written format or graphics without first obtaining the prior written consent of MySpace or the applicable FIM Property;
• FIM 사이트의 look and feel 이나 컨텐츠, 네비게이션, 서비스 메세징 이나 기능들을 흉내내어서는 안됩니다. the copyrighted materials of, or otherwise mimic or be similar to the look and feel, content, navigation, service messaging or functionality of any FIM Site.

Trademarks / Publicity Rights

MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must not:

• Privacy right, publicity right, copyright, trademarks, contract rights 등 개인의 어떤 권리도 침해해서는 안된다.[당신이 업로드 하는 컨텐츠에 대한 법적인 소유권이 있다 할지라도, 그것만으로는 MySpace나 어플리케이션에 업로드할수있는 권리까지는 주지않는다.]  violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark, contract rights or any other rights of any person; [Note that even if you lawfully possess a copy of the content which you are uploading (e.g., because you purchased a copy of a photo), this alone does not give you the right to lawfully upload this copy to MySpace or an Application.]
• use another person's or entity's trademark, service mark, slogan, logo, brand name, company name or other identifier unless such party grants prior permission or otherwise permitted by law;
• include a photograph or image of another person without that person's consent; 
• contain any type of multi-media unless properly licensed for this specific use.

Content

In addition to the rules and restrictions above, the following is a partial list of guidelines regarding the categories of content, products and services that are illegal or prohibited to post on or through MySpace.com, MySpace Applications or MySpace Application Content.

Prohibited Adult and Sexual Content
MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must not contain:

nudity & sexually explicit images;
sexually provocative images;
any content related to child pornography or sexually suggestive content involving children or any person under the age of 18.

Rules Related to Other Sensitive Content
MySpace Applications and MySpace Application Content must not contain reference or promote (including any advertising):

alcohol content targeted to users under ages 21;
gambling content targeted to users under ages 21;
dating content targeted to users under age 18;
any advertisements for products or services targeted at users under the age at which such services or products can legally be used;
references to or promotion of online gambling involving money;
references to or promotion of prostitution;
references to or promotion of tobacco or tobacco related products;
promotion of illegal activities or offers or anything of questionable legality;
hate speech or otherwise promotes discrimination, violence, or displays defamatory, profane, hateful, or libelous material;
promotion or glorification human suffering or death, including without limitation rape, torture, cannibalism or violent images;
offensive or inappropriate language;
advertising that misrepresents, ridicules, or attacks an individual or group on the basis of age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability;
references to or promotion of firearms or parts for firearms, ammunition, brass knuckles, butterfly knives, fireworks or pyrotechnic devices;
references to or promotion of recreational drugs, including without limitation aids to passing drug tests;
references to or ads for U.S. immigration (also known as "green card" applications);
references to or ads for fake documents, including without limitation identifications, immigration papers and diplomas or credentials;
promotion of a prohibited service or application for use in connection with MySpace or any other website which is owned, operated, or controlled by FIM;
references to or promotion of academic aids, including without limitation "test-taking" or paper-writing services;
references to or promotion of bulk marketing products used for the transmission of "junk mail," "chain letters," or unsolicited mass mailing, instant messaging, "spimming," or "spamming”;
references to or promotion of counterfeit or imitation designer goods;
references to or promotion of products that promote false or misleading dietary claims;
references to or promotion of "miracle cures";
references to or promotion of drugs, prescription or otherwise;
solicitation of funds except by U.S. government-registered charitable organizations;
references to or promotion of traffic devices, including without limitation radar jamming devices, license plate covers and signal changing devices;
promotion of an illegal or unauthorized copy of another person's copyrighted work, such as providing pirated computer programs or links to them, providing information to circumvent manufacture-installed copy-protect devices, or providing "pirated" music or links to "pirated" music files;
promote, or otherwise encourage violence from one person towards another, including "hate lists".

Application Communications

MySpace Applications and Application content must:

• application communication 을 위해 MySpace OpenSocial API's and/or the MySpace RESTful APIs 를 사용해야합니다. Use the MySpace OpenSocial API's and/or the MySpace RESTful APIs for any application communication.
• 유저간에 communictation을 할때나, 시도할때 분명하고 진실되야 합니다: 유저는 action 을 취하기전에 action 의 형태와 내용을 미리 알고있으야 합니다. 즉, 자기자신의 profile 에 포스팅을 하는것인지, 코멘트/메시지/bulletin 에 포스팅을 send 하는것인지 알아야합니다. "Share with your fiends"는 허용되지 않고, "Post a bulleting to your friends" 가 적합. Be clear and truthful when communicating with users and initiating communications between users. The user must be made aware, prior to initiating any action, of both the form and content of that action, whether they are posting to their own profile, sending a comment or message, or posting a bulletin. (e.g., "Share with your friends" is not allowed, but "Post a bulletin to your friends" would be fine.)

MySpace Applications and Application content must NOT:

• 메시지/코멘트/Bulleting/Notification/Paper airplane/ 등 어떤 형태의 communication 을 유저 동의 없이 보내는 content  : appl 에 의해 보내지는 모든 communication 은 유저에게 미리 display 되어야 하며, 요저는 communication이 완료되기 전에 그 action에 대해 confirm 해야한다. Send any message, comment, bulletin, notification, paper airplane, or any other form of communication without the user's consent. All communications sent by an app must be displayed in advance to the initiating user, and the user must confirm the action prior to completing the communication.
• 포인트, virtual money, ranking 등의 어떤 benefit을 얻기 위해 메시지/코멘트/Bulleting/초대를 하게하는 content Incentivize a user to send messages, invitations, bulletins, comments, or any other form of communication to earn points, virtual money, a ranking, or any benefit within or outside the application.
• 다른 유저에게 sending message 를 보내야만 app 컨텐츠나 기능을 사용하게 할수 있는 행위 Make application content or functionality contingent upon sending a message to another user.
• 유저의 action 없이 Messaging form을 시도하는 행위: Messaging forms 은 “Send Bulleting”, “Comments” 등을 유저가 클릭했을때만 나와야한다. Initiate a MySpace messaging form to a user without prompting. Messaging forms may only be presented to a user upon a click to "send Bulletin," "Comments," etc.
• Application 을 설치한후 app를 사용하기도전에 첫화면이 Send a message, 초대, 코멘트 등을 요구하는 행위 Ask a user to send a message, invite, comment or other communication as the first action within the application. Apps may not request users to communicate with other uses before the user actually uses the app for its express purpose.
• 헷갈리는 UI, 작은 혹은 안보이는 ‘Skip’ 링크, 혹은 같은 action 을 취하게 만드는 반복된 시도를 통하여 유저에게 communication 을 강요하는 행위 Force or trick the user into any communication through the use of confusing UI, small or hidden "Skip" links, or repetitive attempts to encourage the same action.
